Thank you for looking into it for me. I haven’t had a chance. Work has been crazy. Got the next three weeks booked up with big jobs. I saw some on eBay but wasn’t sure if I should go that route. What karat diamond do I need? Do I need to buy the dresser and a holder for it or look for one that’s complete?

I also saw this. What are these all about? I assume to cut certain angles and such in the wheel?

Radius/angle dresser.


The cheap nibs should be good enough to get you started and the holder can just be a block of steel with a hole and set screw to accept the nib.

Never even gave thought to the carat, in fact I never knew it was a thing until I look these up the other day.

Ok, makes sense. I may make my own holder and buy some cheap nibs to get going. Unless I run across a killer deal on fleabay or something. I appreciate you answering all my questions.
