I know, lol Fun y thing is the guy went and pulled it out of a back room and asked if I wanted it, I asked how much and he said oh, I don’t know. A hundred dollars. I said sold. He told me I should be able to double my money on it but I had no clue what it was worth. Just knew it was worth what he was asking. This place was huge and loaded with old machines. Used to be a school building just to give you some idea of how big. He had old shapers, giant presses, giant sheet metal brakes. Lathes, mills, grinders, pipe benders, polishing equipment and the list goes on and on. I went there after one surface grinder and left with three, lol. Maybe even more when I go to pick them up. He has a mill that is used for doing cylinder heads and such that I would like to talk him out of. See in our city there’s not any automotive machine shops left, so I would love to be able to fill at least some of that gap or at least be able to tinker and do my own stuff
Well, I just talked to the guy and I got the resurfacing machine for $300. Made my day. He did say I may have to rewire it but that’s no big deal. He’s rounding up all the stuff that goes with it. Oh, forgot to mention, he also gave me boxes and boxes of brand new wheels that fit two of the grinders as well as 3 boxes of the big Medina grinding wheels. Not sure what types there are but the Medina model B end grinder carries these really big cup wheels. He did say the wheels were more valuable than all the machines combined
