the problem is that the "body filler" is about as strong as flour and water.

lack of prep and the filler they use is just junk. it is soft and crumbly. not a polyester filler.

I have a trailer with 4 lug, 5 inch pattern spindles, needs 4 wheels, I have 1. Just bought 4 VW wheels, correct pattern (maybe) with 3 1/4 inch hole. I need 3 3/4 inch hole. Hopefully can open the hole up with boring head on mill. Trailer was free.

Depending on if it's hub concentric or lug nut. Take a 3 1/4 hole saw put both on the same arbor as a 3 3/4 and drill them out.

Or get a piece of 2x material, bolt through the lug holes and drill.

Yes, they would be in the paint dept but usually not on display. Gotta ask the person at the paint counter. They are fairly new & a very hot item right now. Pretty much every store will sell out in a matter of 2-3 days.
