What did you sell today ?

It was not today, it was 10 weeks ago when I sold some micrometers on eBay. My preference for micrometers is the mechanical digital style. I have 0-3" sets at each workstation and a couple of sets of spares. I also had these Mitutoyo metric ones. They were gifted to me by a toolmaker at my old workplace; he was well entrenched in English units over Metric and had no use for them. Well, they'd been sitting unused in my toolbox for 10+ years; who am I kidding, I wasn't going to use them either, so they went on eBay. I ended up with around $120 after eBay's fees, which is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! My wife was happy too, one less thing in the shop for her to dispose of if I go before her!

I'm nothing BUT active between the houses and property . If I sold the property ( which we're discussing ) , 90% of everything could go . :encourage: A lot of my contents are camp related and NY gets harder to visit as we get older . WV is closer and we're looking for something down there .
Right now, I have this for sale....
Way to go Dave!!
The secret is....Ya gotta keep active!!
I'll be starting my 13th year in a few months of being off the road as an owner operator and the years have just flown by!
Started out helping the Co-op by hauling anhydrous every spring, then a local company needed some part-timers w/CDL's to deliver trucks, then next thing I knew that led to picking up drive away drivers at several airports as well as bus stations when needed for longer trips.
Then another part time job that nearly turned full time popped up, hauling bulk cement to transit mix plants and highway job sites.
while still doing the Co-op thing spring and now in the fall as well.
Geesh, and here I thought I was retired!!
I bowed out of all that stuff last spring and now have most all my time to myself!!

Bad part was the feds started taxing my damn social security over all this reportable "part time" income, That's what really sucked!!

I sold an engravers ball vise for a grand total profit of minus $17. I didn’t want to sell it that bad, but I’m not an engraver.
Then I sold a Wilton vise for not more than the next guy will sell it.

Selling things is more expensive than buying them sometimes. After it’s gone, I have to finalize the loss!

Sometimes it's easier to just to scrap it out , no questions asked . I'm out in the garage tonight getting my list ready for Cabin Fever next month . It's all good but not needed so it'll go in the auction sale .

How many flatbeds? :)

I sold two things this week.
First was my Ford 4200 row crop.
Second was a spare Solberga Drill head that I did not need.
