What Did You Buy Today?

Swap meet finds today.
5 drawer Gerstner Makeup Box
Federal .0001 indicator
1”Mitutoyo mic ( will complete my 1-6 set)
Coticule stone.

The Gerstner was the score of the day as it also had stripes in it. $40. I will sell the stripper and hopefully recoup my days total.

I will cleanup the Box and give it to my wife as a jewelry box.

Cutting oil is my blood.

Loving the pinstriper, but that Box should hold tooling, not war paint or shiny tokens.... :big grin:

Yeah my favorite crescent just barely won't open far enough so I have to use my giant tractor crescent wrench. Ordered a 40mm open end wrench online God its bigger than the tractor wrench. I'm thinking about just cutting off the box end.
Just so you know, the mod is easy. the hard part for me was figuring out why I couldn't get my screw out, it was staked.
I just ground the last jaw, which was solid to stop it from coming out. I use this for my ER collet holder.
Still has dykem on it years later.

To get the screw out I had to grind the counterbore a slight amount with a die grinder to open the staked area.

A few days ago I quickly breezed through a yard sale. There were some tools there but nothing I needed..
Saw this in a can full of pencils and pens, etc as I was leaving.
$5 for the whole can.
I kept a couple of #2 Ticonderoga pencils and this. Left the can and the rest of its contents there.
Nice old tool.
