yea, but matched and you can't use them to join...The description title says "matched ultra precision .0001". How about that?

Not following...the pictures show holes and threads, but there is a lot of inconsistency in the info. We'll find out eventually I suppose.but matched and you can't use them to join...
well if you had matched holes, and they were done right, you wouldn't need the clamps on the side to hold the pieces together like in the pic.Not following...the pictures show holes and threads, but there is a lot of inconsistency in the info. We'll find out eventually I suppose.
I think you are being a little dramatic. No, these cheap blocks are not as nice a Mits. But they are servicable. Precision could just refer to the surfaces, flatness and squareness. For me, they are good enough for what I need to do.well if you had matched holes, and they were done right, you wouldn't need the clamps on the side to hold the pieces together like in the pic.
My mitutoyo's screw together with 5/16 screws. Nothing needed other than the screws and an allen key.
with those, they can't be screwed together without some sought of clamp or adapter. So the precision means nothing absolutely zero.
I have one of those Geometric Die Heads. Great tool. I bought mine on Ebay and got it for a good price. If you find some extra thread pitches, please keep me in mind.So this is the last of the goodies I picked up today it is full of taps and drill bits both right and left hand also taps of all kinds including metric and a bunch of chasers for a Geometric Die Head . I will be on the look out for one of them next !!!
that was all I was saying. They are a good price, but ultra precision holes... NO.. not for their intended use. As a matter of fact, I don't know if my Mits are precision, but they have screws that work. But if they are 123 they are overpriced.I think you are being a little dramatic. But, no, the holes are not matched in a way so you can use a simple screw to clamp them together. A screw into a side drilled dowel would work ok though and are easy to make.
