Not today, but recently. There have been several times when a mag drill would have been handy, but the price tag always put me off. After seeing several YouTube reviews of Vevor mag drills and looking at the price point, I decided to pull the trigger.
It didn't hurt that I had 2/3rds of the price in Home Depot gift cards. That and my 10% military discount put my out-of-pocket at less than $100.
Of course, as with most things we amateur machinists find fascinating, it's the tooling that gets ya! I bought a cheapo set of annular cutters off China-Zon to get the project at hand done and successfully drilled eight 1/2" holes through roughly 5/8ths of an inch of mild steel, but I could already see some wear on the teeth after that one job. Better cutters will be added to the inventory as the need arises.
