What Did You Buy Today?

And not buying, but selling - this was what was left of my scrap and resharpenable carbide. I was getting $5-6 /lb selling it for resharpening in eBay, so called around and shipped it all off to these guys. Super impressive service. Mail lady was not impressed though :)

Between 40 and 50 degrees seems to be the right range.

Hmmm...Everything I've seen says 15 degrees. I might have to pull out the grinding technology book again, and look that up. Where have you seen 40 to 50? Is this for side dressing?
 
I copied one from a youtube video where the guy made one with a 40 degree angle. Just went back and see where most are at 15 degrees. Oops. I've been using mine where contact is made at about 7:00 on the wheel's rotation, and it seems to work fine. What do our experts think? Is that safe?
