Looks like it may be a control relay for a coolant pump- probably still works, I would just re-use it

so its been a while, i ordered new contactors and put them in and i got nothing, had to wait for an electrical maint buddy to have time around his work schedule to take a look, after a lot of hours tracing wires and testing connections we found the forward and reverse switches were suspect so we replaced them. still no life out of km1 and km2 contactors. last night about 5 am (buddy works 2nds) i looked at the new contactor i had ordered and instead of 110v for the latching circut it was 220v.... that was why the control contactor would latch and voltage down the line would drop to 46v. was about to order a new transformer when we made the discovery of my stupidity... i came back to this thread and re-read it with a new understanding of how little i understood what i had read. mksj you are correct, the generated leg from the RPC was going to the transformer. when you posted that it didnt click.
what ive learned so far,1, im an idiot. 2. a whole lot about 3 phase control systems 3. how to trace out a ladder diagram for testing. 4. its nice to have friends that know things you dont. next time we can get together we are going to put the old contactors in and make test it out and see if i wasted months chasing the wrong things....
thanks everyone!

The apron lever actuated F/R switches are often the first to fail, and the forward contactor next in line
A few minutes spent with a multimeter can save much grief and time
