Oh, there a fair amount of tools available to most forum owners/administrators that make it a smidge easier to spot that sort of thing….

Yes quite sure. I would say over the past couple of years we have rejected more registrations due to our anti-spam/scam countermeasures working well, the all years previously combined. AI is a tool for humans, and can be used for bad intentions. We get lots of reports from members of suspicious activities and we have a few reliable tools at our disposal to verify good vs. bad actors and remove them from the forum.

Life is too short and my Ego too big to worry about things like that.

People have been worried about the introduction of technology since the wheel was invented and yet somehow we persevere. I'm not saying that the future will not have negatives to AI, just that as AI advances, so will our ability to control and/or at least identify and mitigate the negatives.
