Woke up this AM, stretched and stuck my fingers right into the ceiling fan......

Yesterday, I was de-bulging 40S&W cases with a push-through die in my reloading press, and a few hundred in got a bit slow with my finger and hole-punched it as I pulled the lever... cut a 40-caliber O top and bottom of my finger in addition to the smash. That marked the third time I've made that little timing error. Maybe I ought to try some slower music.

I have listened to the music you like… I agree.

Try listening to Barry Manilow when doing that task…

Ok, since everyone is telling on themselves, I wear overalls almost exclusively. Last weekend, while getting ready to go to the racecar shop and having coffee, (apparently not enough) I put my shirt, socks, and shoes on, ready to go, no overalls.

Get a Case-Pro (or maybe a roller-sizer) and you can keep your music...

He wants to decap primers, not bust a cap in his head.

428, start with some Neil Diamond and work your way through the 70s era, then 80s rock.

Then next time you Eff up go back one step and you're in the sweet spot.

I think Hello is slower, but I'll start here...

I'm tellin' you: Case-Pro:

The Rollsizer is on my radar, but it does cost as much as a base model XL750 or 15 lbs of Vihtavuori or 6k projos or a down payment on a new Czcustom or... At 1 to 2 USPSA matches a month, I just don't have the volume. If I take Mr. Enos' advice and get hooked into shooting more steel, then I'll be clawing for the plastic in my wallet for sure. My Redding .40 debulging die gives fantastic results, I just gotta keep my fingers clear. Wasn't as bad as the last one. Hopefully third time's the charm. Although it felt about as bad as putting two perfect alphas into a no shoot on a classifier in November that should have been a slam-dunk. So I've got plenty of boo-boos to try and avoid.

Ahhh, I can relate... I just checked and I see that Case-Pro is in one of its periods of dormancy (which is to say, out of business at the moment). I believe they've changed hands quite a few times. Hard to find a steady market for high-dollar loading gear I imagine. The Rollsizer is an unknown quantity to me, but I've been using the Case-Pro for at least 20 years. It's been surprisingly good even for cartridges I never expected to use anything but a conventional sizer on. The rollsizer is conceptually an improvement, but caliber changes are bound to be more expensive (and with the Case-Pro you get two calibers per change kit). I bought mine before the GRx dies existed. No telling where I'd be if that weren't the case. Still, no regrets. It's nearly as fast as you can pull the handle - and you can pull the handle much faster than on a press.

All that said, I haven't shot .40 in ages. Still have my limited guns, but shoot mostly single stack. I drag the limited guns out when I get tired of competing with the three other people shooting single stack...

Yeah, .40 is tightly niched in Limited. Even that new-fangled Limited Optics is a minor division, and 40 isn't gassy enough for open. I like.40 minor in Production with a poof load, but it still ain't as quick as 9. Limited feels like home, even though I move like a 90 year old compared to those video game babies who complain about a little bit of rain on their dot sights! I've got locals like JJ and Christian to keep my head from swelling.
