Would have been bad enough, but I was dreaming and the start I got woke me up and startled me bad enough I couldn't go back to sleep.

I got up and made breakfast but the cat got into it so I'm no longer interested.

Odd thing is we put the cat down 3yrs ago, so maybe I did go back to sleep.:dunno:

Just the other night, I was disrobing for a shower. I went to take my t-shirt off and I was standing too close to a wall .
as I lowered my arms , my left hand knuckles forcefully dragged across the wall texture and removed half the skin on my index and middle finger’s second joints. Felt like a rug burn- still ain’t right- scabs are just starting to subside

Last night trying to finish wiring my 14.4 KW solar array power box as the snow was falling, got cold had loaded wire tools everything into the wheel barrow took one step back and tripped on a frozen dirt clod, dumped the wheel barrow over partially on top of me, Good times :)
A few weeks earlier dropped my tractors fork lift fork on my big toe and broke it , finally healing up. Always something.

i feel your pain brother, forks have a lot of gravity to them.
when i was younger, i went and wrestled with a semi-truck tire and wheel for a dismount.
i spun the deflated tire vertically to get it to lay horizontally, well i misjudged foot placement and the rim smacked down hard on my big toe- i was out for 2 weeks before i could put pressure on the hoof again. i can tell you when it's going to rain ever since.

Many years ago I was standing on the arms of a chair (heh, who needs ladder?) to dust a gap that I couldn't reach from the ground. Pushed my duster into the slot and awakened Godzilla - or at least the mother of all preying mantises (mantisi? mantissa?). Startled, I jerked my head backwards. Into the ceiling fan...

No harm <twitch> done.

Tuesday I helped the tear down guys break a nut loose on a cylinder rod piston. I was swinging a 10# dead blow hammer to help guys shock the nut that they was lifting on with a 4’ long pipe wrench with a fork lift.

Those swings threw my back out and rivs out of place. Started feeling it an hour later, and I mustered thru rest of week, but I could barely walk Friday night. I’m not doing much better today either.

I am not use to hard physical labor any more these days.

Those cylinder rod piston nuts can be a real bear. I have seen guys break large vices in half in the shop trying to break those nuts loose. I had rear lug nuts on the backhoe I could not budge as well.

Finally bought a 1" industrial sized cast iron air Impact (47lb.) usually mount the rod back on the machine and apply some heat to soften the lock tight, so far so good but it has broken impact sockets as well. reminds me several cylinders to still repack on the backhoe , probably original from 1977 not looking forward to that job next spring.

Take it easy on the back, bruised ribs are no fun either.
