What Did You Buy Today?

It operates the cylinder valve from the handle of the jack. The handle rotates about a pivot point, the chain transfers the "Pull" motion of the handle around the corner.

Cheaper to make than to buy, surely?

Absolutely... I was already buying the seal kit and that part was only US$9.02

Whats with the sectionof bike chain with the bolt?

Correct!

This is what mine looked like when I got it. I was able to get it straight enough to work... but for 9.00, heck, I rather have a new one in place...

Never thought of a pallet jack as a tool I would have any use for...... until I acquired one and found it extremely useful. Thing is like a fire extinguisher, I do not need it often but when I do.... I think we get use to making due with what we have to a fault and just do not think about the things that make life soooo much easier.
Pretty amazing how easy it is to move the heavy Wells Index milling machine with it...

I am always amazed how easy it is to move it with it... With the move and now reorganizing stuff, I have had to move things around a couple of times... And I am not done... So it is great to have it handy.

Not a lot, but costly enough at £15.50 GBP per strip.

A couple of strips of 0.08" x 0.79" x15.75" (approx. 2mmx20mmx400mm) copper to make soft jaws with. I could have made them from some copper plumbing pipe, but to be honest, I could not be hassled with slicing, flattening and annealing it. This is just easier and faster for a project I am working on.

I will go the "ccopper plumbing pipe" route for the remaining chucks since it is a much cheaper option.

@verbotenwhisky

Heli-coil kit by any other name. Very nice to have on hand!

Though I have to question.. Why so many thread repairs? damaged threads on arrival?
