I would recommend the Techniks 04212IS ER32 x 18 pc Collet Set - Inch Sizes From 7/32”-3/4” By 32nds, they have very low TIR and are very consistent across all the collets, often with other collet sets they are not consistent as to TIR across all collets and also linearity when collapsed. Also the application, in a mill you do not need a 1/32" set, you could get buy with a 1/8" set. Some ER collets are also not designed for a range of collapsibility, some of the high precision types are for a given diameter. If used in a lathe then a wide clamping range is desired, but may be some loss of accuracy with regard to runout. I use ER32 on the mill because the arbor is much smaller than an ER40, I use ER40 occasionally on my lathe.
The most accurate ER32 collet in the industry- average 0.0002” Total Indicated Runout (T.I.R.). The most accurate ER32 collet in the industry- average 0.0002" Total Indicated Runout (T.I.R.)! Techniks part # 04212IS.
