I have recently started cleaning up this lathe and it will become my main lathe once finished. It was made in Taiwan in 1981. I acquired it in an auction 3 years ago with 2 main issues - no tailstock and missing cross slide gib. Being a veteran eBay scrounger, I figured finding parts would be no big deal. I guess in a way I was right, it only took me 3 years to find a tailstock! I will be making a new gib - stay tuned for that.
Otherwise, it’s in pretty good shape, just dirty. It came with a nice Polish made 3 jaw chuck, steady rest, 5c collet adapter and drawbar, and some other odds n ends. The forklift driver at the auction house lifted it by the chip pan, so that’s gonna require some massaging as well.
I forgot to take pics before I started disassembling it - my apologies In these pics, I have started some superficial cleaning. I have also removed the lead screw, feed shaft, and spindle switch shaft in preparation for removing the apron.
