The set screw / spring / nylon shoe shown in these pics - in the side of the drive plate.

No, I just brought home a Clausing 8530 that I plan to rebuild. So, I’m reading this forum and picking up bits of advice, like yours. Thanks again.

I wish that Clausing had a return spring.

I just saw an auction listing with an 8520 that has a return spring added and asked about it over on the Clausing group page. Sounds like there was someone making them a few years ago.
