What Did You Buy Today?

I could be wrong but that kinda looks like a lift for getting people in/out of hospital beds. Nice score for free.

that's what it is, and the bathtub, and toilet. I would love to score one. They are lightweight compared to an engine hoist, and depending can lift a good amount of weight. Not engine hoist weight, but they are not as bulky.

Yes lift is for helping people out of cars into wheel chairs or bed or in reverse. Have the nets or slings for same but don’t plan on using. Well built lifting device.

How do you like it so far? Link?
Just got it this morning and made two quick labels to test it so not much to report. Seems like good quality, the detents on the keyboard buttons are nice and positive. Time will tell. One side note, it doesn't come with a power adapter so there's a hidden cost. Either use rechargeable AAA's or buy the wall wart. Comes with 1/2" tape so I bought a 1/4" cartridge also.

Been wanting one for a while now but shipping costs have always nearly doubled purchase price. Found one with free shipping, so grabbed it. Had to pay sales taxes, but 20-odd bucks was no big stretch…189.00 cdn to my door. Thats pretty good for one of these tools. At least it is around here…

The guy I used to race with used one for pulling the motor from his Triumph GT6 when we were at the track so it can be done...

Not recommended, but they are stronger than you think.

Or, use one of the 40 wall warts still hanging around from other broken electronics....

Does that tool do both types of flare (SAE and bubble) ?

Yup. Will also do AN (37 degree flares) if you purchase an accessory kit.
