What Did You Buy Today?

Don't know if I should have laughed or not. That was stepping way out there on that buy. I would have agonized over that a while. But hey, @wachuko if it helps you get to where you need to be, go for it.

Laugh away man.... laugh away! It is after all, the best medicine in the world...

I have been wanting one for years... and my wife will get to use it for stuff she wanted to buy and could now make herself (or have me do it) at home.

I was initially looking at the Pro but watching a few reviews and feedback from owners that have had one for more than a year, this size is plenty enough for what I will use it for... and takes less space in the garage.

The risk is getting it now versus at the end of September, when the shop should be done.

Add to that, the slap in the face from @pontiac428

to make me realize that I can save on the other stuff I was planning to buy, by making it myself... Well, and you know, we have to save no matter the cost.

I can hear my wife... "don't expect a birthday gift, nor Christmas gift....and what about the A/C you wanted for the shop or... " I can just hear her... I know I will get s*** for this... I just know it... I just need to make sure that the first project is a dragonfly decoration for her... One like this:

And hope she starts seeing the potential of this tool for several projects of her own...

Yep, $4000 for a dragon fly she can buy for $100 or less. Yep, she'll understand

Yeah.... that's like when i turned a new handle for the whisk out of some plastic i had laying around. Turned out nice, and she loves that whisk but damn about 2K in tooling for a $15 whisk! I pointed that out and she chuckled and walked away...

"It's easier to get forgiveness than permission"... or something like that...

IDK... I would owe the wife a LONG vacation to make up for that...

Congrats!

I'd probably remove the frying pans, knives, weapons..
My wife doesn't want or need anything, so I would be in real trouble trying to even that one up.
You better use that lots, to show her that you really needed it...
Maybe a trip ..
Gather the kids up when that comes in so she can be happy to spend time with them, and maybe she'll have time to calm down..

I did get her tickets for going to a Michael Bublé concert with her sister... That is for September, and this machine will arrive before that... so yeah, I need to do something more...

I did get the .dxf file for the dragonfly... so that is covered. I will get some material to have it ready for that...

And my daughter gave me her old Wacom Mobile Studio Pro computer... I need to create my own account as I do not want to get rid of her account in there... I like the background... one of her drawings.

Doing all the updates to the software as this thing has been off for about a year...
