So I have zis deal with mein freund Jens over in Germany, where I send him my money and he sends me kleine little boxes like zis one hier. Okay, it is not so exclusiv of a deal, Jens will take money from almost anybody.

Inside are little bottles to keep my oil in. And the last free thing Ryanair ever gave away, a pack containing five gummibaerchen. Oh, and some Knipex too- piano wire cutters rated as big as they make. The jaws are hard like M2!

Well It was my normal friday visit to hgr fort worth to see what came in for the week. Figures went to go pick up some small totes of clearance stuff end up leaving with a trailer full of stuff I found in the process.

I am building a shop from a nearly scratch and thought to invest into some quality measuring tools, so I bought a Mahr vernier scale and a Mahr micrometer. Mahr Marcal 16 DN and Mahr Micromar 40A to be exact. Not a fan of the digital ones as the batteries are always dead and I also keep breaking the flimsy plastic battery compartment hatches somehow.

TBH, I was initially looking at Starrett made ones, but they are super difficult to find here in Finland as Mitutoyo is dominating the European market.

Fab Pack Mini set of squares in aluminum. The 6" set...



I will wait until the detached garage is done before I order the rest of the stuff I want... These I can easily hide from my wife, lol.

First get the plasma, then cut your own wedling squares, weliding tables, fab blocks, vise blocks, whatever you want- all for the price of some 3/16 sheet. You don't even need to draw plans, just upload the .dxf files and press go.

I got sidetracked into building a press brake in order to bend what I've cut, but it won't be long before I'm making my own $certi-flat$ stuff too. When you consider the cost of 2' x 4' sheet against the turn-key boutique products, you can add on the extra chi-chis to your liking.

Seriously, those welding tables are stupid costly, the Langmuir will theoretically pay for itself in two weeks.

Vevor is selling certiflat now. That means chinese steel, chinese lasers, and chinese shipping. I hope you know the words already to the China national anthem.

And certiflat is still over $100 per square foot!
