My intentions were to buy both sets that Pm offers " SAE and Metric " or just the complete SAE set by Accusize..! are you thinking I may only need to buy the PM Metric set to cover all my bases...?

I am guessing I'll also need to make or buy a spindle spider to use short 2' lengths of raw stock. Thick Washers will be from steel and Spacers will be plastic. I need bunches so I will be getting lots of parting practice

I have the 15 piece PM set and find that I wish I had the larger set in divisions of 1/32".

That would be nice. I wish I thought to install one when I first got the lathe, it’s just a guess how much it’s been used the last few years.

You're a more advanced user so it makes sense you could use a complete set of ER Collets.

I think I may get PM's ER-40 Metric set down the road, should cover nearly the whole spectrum of sizes from 1/8" to 24mm and every size in between I would think.
