Shipping Stuff by Truck

I just purchased and had shipped a 200# shaper vise. Not exactly a FedX item. Amazingly it was a pleasant experience.

So if you need to ship something by truck in the US, I would like to highly recommend Daniel Brumley at FreightQuote.com

He did his best to cut my costs and simplify the process. This was in a process where the seller was a little difficult, requiring a lot of extra communication and change of plans. Daniel even did a follow up call to see if everything turned out alright. I have never gotten that kind of service from other shippers.

I used their site last year to get a freight quote on shipping a lathe, with-in an hour I had a follow up call from him to see if I needed any help. I wound up not using them but was impressed with his service.

I used them in 2008 and had a bad experience, ended up picking it up myself. Hopefully times have changed.
