I have the chance to look at a no. 24-151 toolmaker surface grinder. It has manual feed. I will not know actual condition until I look. What should I pay particular attention to if and when I do a site visit. Is this a good machine to start out on? Pros & cons.

Thanks
David

Hi Paddy,

Thank you for the information. I was hoping you could provide some guidance.

I was told there was a magnetic chuck with machine. I could only be so lucky with the accessories!
It is not under power but I think with some work it can be hooked up and ran.

I will check all as suggested and see if it is worth taking home.

Thanks again
David

I think I know where one is here in Tyler, David. It should go pretty cheap, but I don't think it has much with it. It's not under power currently, but could be pretty easily.

Since you're in East Texas, I thought I'd mention it.

Hi Tony,

It may be the same machine you are thinking about. This one is in Tyler. I won't drop name out of respect to this person, but I bet you know him and machine.

Thanks
David
