Re calibrating Starrett 98 level

Try rotating both levels 180° to see if they are both showing the same result. In the second pic you only rotated the front level.

I was running out of space on my phone so I did not take a picture of it. I did rotate it end for end and it duplicated itself as I have already stated about the 12" and 8" (See post #17 of this thread)

@Itlvt If you used plaster you can soak it off using a dental pick, water, and patience.

I have one of those .0002 per foot offfshore levels. complete crap (in my case) I bought a set of Moore and Wright machinist levels, and am very happy with them.
