Off Center Turning on Lathe

With your channel being what it is I can see your concerns.

However there are people making nitro glycerin and blowing stuff up with it.

I doubt however if those types would be out much if they lost their channel though.
I am shocked at what actually gets through on some of these channels. The gun modification and explosive content is often overlooked. I try very hard to keep my channel within the guidelines so I can continue to share the material I present without community strikes. Stay well guys. Merry Christmas.

Greetings Chewy. I hope you get a chance to read this. making that brass naval cannon was a bucket list item for me and required some tricky machining to complete. Rotary table specific for the trunion straps and chain eyelets. As for your comment about it not firing, you are correct, but the barrel was intentionally left deep enough for it to be bored deeper and with an added fuse hole....BANG. But, YouTube has many policies covering home made firearms, so I decided to keep it a static model for the series to stay within the platform guidelines. Who knows what happen once the cameras stopped rolling ?
No disrespect when I posted that. I wish that I had the machinery and support that you do. On my bucket list after I build a steam donkey is to hand mill the AR from a billet like you did on the CNC. I learned 20 years ago that if you like something, save a copy. I have your AR build series and the your cannon, along with the complete build of an 1880 single action revolver by a nice Australian lady.
When I had my heavy duty repair shop, I dealt with some machinists who built a real cannon and used to fire it off on the forth of July.

No disrespect taken. Thanks. As luck would have it, I've been given the opportunity to design and build the safety, and firing mechanisms for Old Smokey 4. The cannon used by the University of Texas Longhorn football team. they fire it after every touchdown on game day. so in the future, watch a game and check it out. 4 - 10 ga. shotgun shells fired at the same time, in a football stadium makes a heck of a bang. I'll request to fire it on game day as part of my compensation package.
