Went back and looked again. I would have to agree those jaws are not for that chuck for sure. They do not nest properly. When you close a chuck all three faces on the jaws will touch each other eventually. Yours jaws are shaped with a narrower V let’s say. Which would be needed on a 6 jaw with more jaws.

The jaws are from a 6-jaw chuck because they're marked 1,3, 5, so they had to come from another chuck, but they do nest together properly. The photo you're looking at wasn't exactly square to the chuck, so it doesn't seem like they meet, and one of the jaws has a ding/dent right on the tip, so it looks odd. If they didn't nest properly I wouldn't have gotten the runout down to .0015".

Your other comment saying one of the jaws looks different is the same thing...just an odd angle and some glare. The jaws are all identical....same stepping, same color, just some glare in the photo.
