The owner of the bike dropped around to see if I could make new parts for the crank assembly.
The components were made from D2 then case hardened. He tried to get a shop to grind the tapers, for whatever reason couldn't be done. So returned and asked if I could grind the tapers and the other would be done elsewhere.
I have built a Bonnelle tool and cutter. So set up and ground the tapers. Finish was quite good for the set up. We had a chat and he asked if the parallel diameters could be ground.
The answer of course.
