How to lift an 18x24 granite surface plate?

We put in my 18x24x3 granite with me and the owner, and pulled it out with me and a neighbor. It went right on to the 1000lb lift cart, then it’s stand. My array of the lift cart, folding engine hoist, and 1ton chain hoist are just about enough.

I bought a Hoyer Patient Lift off of Craigslist for a hundred bucks. Light weight, comes apart and has about a 500 lb capacity.

I'm leaning toward picking up one of these at HF. Take a couple days to make sure it works, then use it to get the surface plate.

Then.... maybe I'll return it.

As Jeep said , the die carts are great although you still have to get it on to the cart .

Fortunately the plate only cost me $30 and I'm an absolute novice, so I can tolerate a bit of damage.

If you do read the instructions on the side of the plate form. You have to bleed out the air in the cylinder first to get it to lift. Just like everything you get from HF, it is never complete and needs tweeking to work.
