Central machinery 12x36 wiring issues help needed

Good news so far as it didnt pop the breaker and I heard the contactors click in both directions.

Yes I have z2 and it has a terminal end on it.

Ah, you do have 4 wires to the motor- ok try this: (no jumper straps)
Edit: changed Z2 to W2

Box-- Motor
Z1----- U1
Z2----- U2
U1----- V1
V2----- W2

I will give it a try. a couple posts back you said ware to hookup the start and run caps if you dont mind could you double check as I think mine are backwards. Thanks Mark I really appriciate the help.

Well it made a hum and blew the inline fuse when I put in reverse . Sounded like it would in forward as well. ( I turned if off really fast ) I will double check the wiring again to make sure I did it correctly.

OK- if you have a multimeter this might be time to get it out- we might need to do a couple voltage tests

Ok, so I checked some voltages and got the following.Wires disconnected from motor.
power on. forward reverse

z1-125v 125 volts all 125 volts all
u1-10v
z2-17v
v2-17v

You should measure 220 volts both forward and reverse
between the motor wires :
Z1 to Z2 = 220-240v
U1 to V2 = 220-240v

be careful 220 can bite
