If you mean which of the two wirenutted pairs connects to the neutral, no, it doesn't. Just pick one of them. The reason I put single was to indicate that you don't need to run six individual wires to the switch. Just four conductors total, from motor to switch (plus ground, not shown)
The wire gauges are not absolute- you could probably get by with 16 ga instead of 14 ga for example, for short runs 6 feet or less
You may need to swap the single wires to the switch 4 and 8 if the motor rotation is opposite the switch handle position
There may be more than one version of this switch so if it doesn't work we'll have to ring out the switch with a ohmmeter or continuity tester
I don't know how reliable these switches are- but for the price you can replace them more often
The really good USA made ones like Dayton are upwards of 100$ or more
