I was brand new to machining. Pretty much an absolutely clueless newbie when I discovered the Norman style QCTP by accident. So it took me a long time to make the first batch of seven toolholders. I learned a lot about machining making it. Ruined several end mills cutting the slot until it was suggested to drill out most of the slot and clean it up with an end mill.
Since then I have learned that a lot of members on here and people world wide have made Norman QCTP. I have never heard any complaints about a Norman QCTP compromising the quality of their machining.
