I took as much as I thought I could reasonably use, in order to lighten the load. (Yeah. To lighten the load. Ya'll see what a great guy I am?)
That's a dial indicator for the carriage stop that my lathe is screaming for. Seems to work fine. Just needs a little clean up.
The contact point for an indicator in the tiny envelope. Haven't the slightest clue what I will use it for, but. . .
A nice Craftsman micrometer.
I now have a total of two ball endmills, and some ball bearings (haven't made a rotary broach, 'cause I didn't have a bearing.
I'm about to pipe the shop for air, and I'm all out of fittings, so these will definitely get used.
A couple 1/2" HSS blanks so I can get away from always using carbide on the lathe, and a 1/2" carbide.
I don't have a faceplate for the lathe. This one is 2-1/4"x8, and my lathe is 2-1/8"x8. I've got a short length of 4130 tube that I'll be able to turn an adapter from, though. Should be some fun precision turning, with both inside and outside threading. Probably use both HSS and carbide to cut it.
I did add back a few chunks of large-ish metal, but I tried to add in a few alternative pieces that would still be valuable. I hope they travel well. My scales say the box now sits at 42.5lbs.
Whose next on the list? DM me an address so I can see if I can get away from work before the PO closes tomorrow.
