Somewhat OT: Amazon (and Other) Deliveries (again/still)

Have the same problem here, dopes putting packages in front of outward swinging storm doors. How hard is it to put the box to the side of the door? It's only 18" away from the center of the door.

so here's my opinion, you didn't ask, but I'm giving it. :einstein:

you have too many things on that sign. Just put
Place packages here with an arrow down.
edit: Packages with an arrow. even the place was too much.
No one in their right mind is going to read all of that. These guys are busy..

This helped my situation: Write your instructions (briefly) in Spanish as well as English
and if there is a delivery message you can fill out when you order write it there also
(you can use Google translate if your Spanish is not so good, Senor- like mine)

Your lucky they put it in front of the door. We get ours in the back of the pickup, by the basement door, by the back door, by the shop door, by the overhead door. Its like an easter egg hunt sometimes. Not to mention when Fedex turns it over to the post office and we have to drive 20 miles into town.

Install a fence/gate to enclose the alcove.
Lock the gate.
Fence/gate to be 18" off the floor. Small packages can be slipped (kicked) underneath, tossed over or left outside.
When you expect a larger package, put that groovy sign out on the fence.

EDIT: The gate shall open "IN".

@ChazzC
I understand that you don't want packages left in front of the storm door.
However, I don't understand WHY it's such a problem for you.
It seems easy enough just to open the storm door, brushing any light package aside.
Is the real problem that some packages are too heavy to "brush aside"?
I don't want to guess at or define the "why". Would you please elucidate?
