No adjust true. This 8" BTC chuck came with the lathe. Actually it's a pretty good chuck.
I have a 5C collet chuck, A Jacobs rubber flex, and the Hardinge Sjogren 5C D1-6 chuck.
Which means I have no excuses :)

Making progress. Well a little.
The spindle housing and washers are complete.
I ordered a 1/2" wheel for Dumore tool post grinders.

The router was free with the purchase of the charge/battery pack. $59!! 10,000-20,000 rpm.
The real work begins. The brain work.
This is fun.

Do you have any idea what the run time is on the battery you bought? Grinding will have friction of the belt, and also the grinding.

No, but my neighbor has one of these and is very impressed with the charge.
This is the large capacity battery. I could always buy an extra battery. There is a charge indicator on the unit.
I'm trying to keep this as cheap as I can.
I hope to pull it off. If not, I've learned a ton already. Plus, I'll have a router :)

Jeff, The belt that you want is a fabric belt.
I ordered the made to order belt for my tool post grinder.
They offer less friction. Before I had that, I was using a rubber belt from a vacuum . That heated up like crazy.

Well shoot.
I just watched Ca Kem’s video build.
Maybe I’ll begin again. This guy is amazing.

I whipped this one up in a Jiffy.
It's actually very robust. The wheel mounting hardware turned out well.
I need to dress the wheel and give it a try.
I know the wheel needs to be rock solid This router motor may transmit too much vibration.
Proof is in the pudding.

This didn't work worth a darn.
I learned something. The grinding wheel has to be mounted to a rigid structure.
Back to my original project!!

Now this is a sturdy structure!!! >>>
