Who's Actually Needed A Fwd Assist?

Yep, use them plenty of times applying immediate action, and also before the first round is fired, just to make me feel better.

I've read that eskimos use 100% rubbing alcohol on firearms for lube. No idea how true that is.

The alcohol does not lube at all. What it would do is melt and absorb any frozen moisture that was in the action.

In the Corps I used forward assist all the time. Seems I was unlucky and was always training or in a combat zone in the desert. In 03 during the initial invasion thee were several sandstorms an were we were on the Kuwait/Iraq border the sand was extremely fine. Couldn't keep it out of anything. Guys would cheer when we fired 3 in a row without using the fwd assist. I don't know why they live there. If I was Kuwaiti I would take my money and move just to save my poor butt crack from the grit let aline the scorpions, camel spiders, and 130 heat
