TLDR.

Do you think anyone using that term regularly had looked up and study the clinical definition?

Remembers it and applied it correctly?

I don’t, most people who feel the need to label everyone are just head cases.
I'm pretty sure one does not need to "study the clinical definition" to understand the difference between being a man, being masculine and having a toxic masculine behaviour.
Furthermore, as I wrote, that you didn't read, labeling should be used with caution because it generally is just a big roadblock.

I read it. Short version: “Toxic masculinity” is the new buzz phrase for bullying by non-birthing humans.

Let me fix that for you.
TLDR: Toxic masculinity are generally men who behaves misogynistic, homophobic, excessively dominating and/or using intimidation/violence etc.

And by new you must mean the 1980's. Very new indeed.

Like I said, bullying. Thank you for confirming it using more words.

Sorry I'm so out of touch. I didn't know toxic masculinity was a buzz phrase in the 1980's. That somehow escaped me. I only heard of it recently.

Whilst a popular sarcastic take on it, mansplaining is generally when a man is explaining something in a condescending or patronizing tone, usually towards females, again something that is extremely common everyday. In other words somehwat related to misogyny.
A quick google search could've taught you that instead of spreading disinformation.

Username checks out. It's just a joke!

...if one looks up toxic masculinity, it is rather about being...
I'm curious where you looked that up.
I looked it up in my Cambridge, Websters and Britannica dictionaries and did not find it in them.
Perhaps those sources aren't up to speed on modern lingo.
Anyway, till I do see the phrase in the places I trust I will consider it as just more stuff and poppycock that has been coined to describe the nagging sense of inadequacy felt by so many who aren't comfortable in their own skin.
