I am wanting to purchase a set of small precision screwdrivers for working on cameras and electronics. I have tried a number of name brand screwdrivers but they have all turned out to be nearly as soft as mild steel. Need both Phillips and JIS primarily 0,00,000.

Thanks
JD

I have a small Wiha set for little stuff. Lots of little Phillips sizes. Don't know if they make JIS. I use Chapman Tools for my JIS bits, but as far as I know, they only make #2 & #1 JIS. Chapman Tools makes all kinds of sets, but not sure if they make stuff small enough.

Second Wiha. By far (in my limited experience) the best common and (somewhat?) affordable available.

I bought a set with a single handle and a large collection of high quality hex bits. Wasn't cheap but didn't break the bank. Before that, I couldn't tell you how many crappy sets I've tossed after tips disintegrated from a couple of uses.

Also Micro-Mark is a great source for small tools. I've purchased all sort of hobby-specific tools from them and used them general purpose small stuff.

If I had to sell all my crap , the Chapman sets would stay . I can't tell you how many times they've saved my butt over the years . :encourage:

Not certain about best for J.I.S but for phillips / Pozi, I have never had problems using Facom / Stanley sets
