What Did You Buy Today?

I made two purchases yesterday... I bought a new mower...

...and a thermal imaging camera...

The camera is not an expensive one, but is a pretty neat tool, anyway. I bought it because I saw someone on youtube using one to check for clogged radiator tubes in an antique car. I cranked my '40 Ford this morning and tried it... my radiator heated up uniformly except for the circle directly in front of the fan, so hopefully it's ok.

I would take the mower back. It is all dirty for a new mower.

Bought me some creature comfort. More temps in the hundy's expected here in Texas for the coming days so I skipped pace and installed a 2 ton two head mini split. One head (shown) in shop left brain, other head (not shown) in shop right brain. Seems to have no problem cooling down with my 5.5" spray foam walls. The unit was cycling at 70 degrees with an outside temp of 104 yesterday.

Now I can get back to my lectrickle without occasionally passing out
You made a smart decision. I love mine.
It's supposed to be 110 this Sunday
You will never go back though. Kind of like power windows or power steering :)

Very nice! I plan to do the same with mine.

Got some good news today, two weeks from now they will be pouring the concrete for my detached garage (small workshop) in Ocala... that was what was stopping us from completely moving to Ocala... once that is built I can then move all my crap over...

But doing the same setup, split unit with dual setup...
Yeah I need to do the same was 106 out here in azle and need to get to work cleaning up all the old machines. Id be happy just getting it down to 80 in the shop. Even with spray foam its too hot to be in there more then about an hour at a time.

Looks like a nice zero turn . I had Exmarks down here for years and sold them all . Bought an Arians Ikon 52" couple years back and love it . The Exmarks were larger , faster but much heavier . The Arians actually gets the jobs done quicker as it manuevers easier and doesn't dig up the grass . I think you'll like that mower ! :encourage:

Weight is a big deal. I've got a Skag Turf Tiger. It's heavy! A lighter mower would be nice, but this is built like tank and it's the mower I have. I swear everything is 1/4" steel (Literally, the frame is welded 1/4" wall tube).

Borrowed my fathers snowmobile trailer to bring it home, and it bottomed that trailer out. It rode on the bumpers all the way home. Should have used the tandem axle car hauler! Biggest problem is it's so heavy that you can see where the wheel pressed the grass down from one mowing to the next. As in, it's detrimental to the grass if you mow exactly the same every time.

Yes sir , that was the problem here . :)

Did a pressure test, last night, and this morning the pressure measured the same... View attachment 453764

Not sure why, but I really like those pressurized canisters. Friend gave me these two (Model B and a Model C) more than 10 years ago. One with water and one with carburetor cleaner. I like everything about them.
