Threaded screw cutter

We have a Stanley made for this tool.

Does upto 1/4 maybe.

It had a couple extra hole sets not threaded, and we threaded them to something we needed.

Simple to make, 2 swiveling plates, clamp together, drill through both, tap one and increase hole size on the other.

Add handles to twist them.

Too lazy to go out to take photo, Google Stanley screw utter maybe

Princess Auto - scratch and dent sale this morning, Original Blue-Point tool has SAE, this one has metric. The blue-point still works great >40 years after I purchased it, I'm guessing this one will have a limited life. Update I just tried it and will be taking it back, Complete junk not worth 2c IMG_0216.JPG...I see Knipex (97 22 etc) sells something similar and probably quality is closer to the original Blue-Points, need to keep looking....

Successful thread shearing depends on how tight the pivot rivet is. I have a Craftsman from decades ago that I have used extensively and it still works great. Shearing #10 screws is a bit of a challenge, especially if they're stainless but it does the job.
