The secrets to knurling on nickel silver cap n' ring

I use Rovi Id collets . But I buy them used on eBay. And I have been making expanding collets of my own design for over 50 years. And I make all my own bolts to expand the collets out of Allen head screws. I just cut the angle to expand them on the screws . And I cut the collets shorter and recut the angle to expand them.
 
So the rope knurl cap n ring was finally put on a recently finished rod.

Nice case of flies, do you tie them yourself? Tried fly fishing in NZ many years ago but only caught things they called Rainbows. Found out that there are few flies that live underwater. Nice spottie in the photo trying to eat your reel, must have made some nice fish patties.:).

Yep, I tie also. NZ is awesome, world class fly fishing. I like rainbows too, they love going airborne. Both browns and bows are great.

Fish patties? No way, catch and release unless from a lake.
