While interesting I see the Hu as like the mainstream version of real Tuvan throat singing which I first became aware of through the doc Genghis Blues i saw on Netflix. The main character in the doc goes through his whole discovery of the music through shortwave and his obsession with it. He learned to sing it phoenetically and ended up getting invited to Mongolia. Heckuva story. And really showcases the range of Tuvan throat singing. Two thumbs up.
