I'm sure it won't be long until all this data is digested by artificial intelligence. (Google associations and advertising already is to an extent). What worries me is how spammers will soon be using AI to social engineer people into giving up even more information like credit cards, passwords, etc. Enough people fall for generic schemes, what happens when it gets personalized to the target by AI?Here's another way your information gets around.
I recently had to look for a job. I have an email address that's ONLY used for looking for jobs.
Now 3/4 of the spam emails I get are sent to that email address.
Again, I have never used that email address for anything but job apps and my resume.
I now know two people that were scammed (or almost scammed) by a call from a relative, but not a close one that asked for some $ to help with something. I once case it was $ for a Suite in preparation for an interview. In both cases my friends were dupped at first but caught on before $ changed hands but it was a close call. Probably not AI driven but with just a little bit more accuracy it would have been a done deal.what happens when it gets personalized to the target by AI
