Personally I'm glad it's off TV. Part of me thinks they script stuff like that specifically to make the gun industry look like it is fool of incompetent idiots for the laymen out there.

The one thing about the reality shows in general is that they are not "real".

Several things have been mentioned about SOG being a bunch of actors, no depth mic, the one episode where the guns were switched, and one where the fat guy blamed the reamer, and then where the boss worried about them shooting BP in the shop as a fire hazard.

Yet, we apparently all watched them?)

The R J guys are a bit more authentic, but then I just recalled, I think it was them that did not have a depth mic to be found.

If anything the various gun related shows prove that more than a few folks still like guns, with the several of them on TV, some one must be watching.

the depth mic was SOG, the rest of your quotes were from "American Guns" which actually seemed a bit more legit and less BS. and yes - apparently we all watch them - heck, machining + guns? as low grade as it can be - how can we NOT?

Not much in the way of machining, but American Restoration has welding and grinding and much better paint jobs without all the drama. You'll even learn a little bit of trivial history to boot.
