Most trade shows are held in venues with concrete floors, but the carpets make walking OK. However, carpet on concrete gets hard when you’re in a booth all day: for an extra charge you can get padding under the carpet which helps a lot (yes, extra above the sometimes $20,000 fee for the 10x10 space, just like power and more than one chair are extras).
