If the saw does eventually give up, you might want to replace it with something like this. It's a 1943 Delta 40-440 scroll saw. It's almost bullet proof. There's even a fancier model with infinite speed adjustments.

All about the profit now and it is usually "How low can we get the price point on purchase and how much profit can we gouge the consumer for?" along with "How long will it last? what is the quality like? Who cares if we make barrels of money from people stupid enough to buy this s***"

Used the Mastermill at work today to trim a part for the bike motor mount.




Nice to use a machine like this, two passes and it was done.

I live to fight another day…. Was able to get rid of a few things, clean up, reorganize a little bit… still much to do, but the bikes and my wife’s car fit in the garage with good space to walk around…




I still need to pickup the stuff on the floor…some of the tools that I took to the other house to work there… I will tackle that tomorrow….

I had to read the post again... it is a pencil lead being used. I saw the photos first and I thought I was seeing a thin wire...

I had never seen this done...

Same with making circuits with graphite...

I put a vent on my trash barrel:


This makes it much easier to get an empty bag into the can and prevents a vacuum from forming when I pull out a full bag. It can be closed to prevent liquid from leaking if ever an issue.
