Trying to decide between the PM-1440E-LB vs PM-1236 with cast base, QCT and DRO.
Looking at the specs, to switch from power feed to threading, the 1236 will not need a change gear for most of threads I use. However with the 1440 needs a change gear to even start threading.
Given all the options selected on the 1236 vs the 1440, is it worth the extra ~$500 for the 1440 given the shortfall of having to do gear changes just to start threading.
I'm upgrading from a G0602. I wanted more HP, fewer gear changes, fewer belt changes for spindle speeds, power cross feed and turn LH threads.
