EDIT: 2024-12-28 I shortened the inserts a bit so that you can install them without needing to gently tap them in with a soft blow hammer and updated the files on Thingiverse. I'm now very happy with the design and have printed 6 of them so far.

I didn’t care for any of the designs I found so I designed one with spacers.

Cool! that looks slick. im waiting on a new printer. corralling the milling machine accessory drawers is how i figure i'll learn to use it. This looks like a design i'll try out. Is the spacer you refer to the part that is cradling the ER portion of this holder? i assume you designed it so you can make one large holder and different spacer for different tools?

Thanks!

It's amazing how much I use the printer just for organziation.

Basically, the spacers are just half circles with different diameters. The main diameter where the tool head goes is 2.75" as printed in the main model. I found that if I had a tool with a head diameter of say 2" and put it in the holder that it'd just tip forward due to the weight of the head and the balance point so I made a bunch of different sized inserts to take up the extra space so that the tool doesn't tip and lays flat. That ER-32 collet holder has a head diameter of 2" so I printed a 2" insert and installed it.

It's slightly off center in this printed version, however, I've fixed that in the files that are up on Thingiverse.
