For lathe, M-DRO or DRO PROS?

well, I'm hoping they don't charge me an import duty fee. we don't get charged sales tax directly by the state or the feds, it is taken out by the seller and the seller has to pay it to the government. whenever I've bought out of country goods, I've never been charged sales tax. even some vendors in other states, usually small vendors, don't collect sales tax. most do these days though.

found out today it still hasn't shipped. not sure why they sent me a shipping notice almost a week ago.

Could be stuck awaiting outbound clearance; not all tracking systems show the details bewteen "Table Created" and "In Transit" once its loaded on a plane.

no, he told me today they were still "putting it all together".

well, apparently actually shipped this morning. got a DHL tracking number. hooray! can't wait.

oh oh, looks like I have some work to do. the Easson unit is huge.

assume this mounts under the display unit? not sure what it's for, holes are too small for collets. nothing about it on the website or in the books.

Looks like it would be for the R-8 collets on a mill, so not needed. You will need to make a riser block for arm that attaches to the DRO display.

was thinking about mounting the display on the end of the cross slide so it's in front of my face all the time when I'm working like my last lathe. opinions?
