The spindle goes down for a 5 hour soak! There was some rust on the bottom and in the bottom screw holes. Figured I'd just soak the whole thing. Parts do NOT like being partially submerged in Evaporust, the liquid/air border will etch a line. This tank still required a bit more than 1 gallon of Evaporust to fill.

Spindle emerges from bath, cleaned spotless, oiled and packed for reassembly!
