Air Chain Hoist help please

I have two ,1/4 ton air chain hoists in my shop. Both have the pendant for raising and lowering. One pendant is damaged. I would like to just change it to a rope control for the time being until I can get another pendant. What is involved to do this? Can I just put plugs in the air fittings for the pendant? or is it more involved? By the way it is an ARO hoist.

Yes, plugging the 3 ports with pipe plugs works for using a rope control.
I was hesitant to set up a ladder and try this, with out knowing. Works great again
