Finished part was waiting for me when I got home from work. Guinness for scale!

Looks flawless, great job. What telescope are you making, btw? I know nothing about astronomy or astrophotography, but looks like it will be a large scale assembly.

It is a custom made 13.1” f4.4 mirror from Zambuto. It is one of 5 telescopes that I have at the moment. It is about a midsize mirror.

I am considering making a micrometer carriage stop. Wanted to buy one, but Eisen doesn't offer one and PM was backordered until November (?) with theirs. I will incorporate a Contrinex NC proximity sensor that, when triggered will disable the ELS motor. The chuck will keep spinning, so cannot be used for threading, but will use it for turning to a shoulder.

This is the first version not even a prototype yet, but I hope y'allz will give me some feedback. Prox sensor will be in a sleeve that can be advanced 2mm by turning the green knob one turn (16mm / 2mm pitch thread).

Thanks for any input.

Printed an inset into an aluminum faceplate to hold a small circuit board with a display, a rotary controller and a remote control sensor.

This is the alu plate:

This is the end product:

Your machine looks dialed in really well. How big is the plate?
